DBSS (PTY) LTD offers security solutions for residential, commercial and industrial areas. Our current coverage includes Waterfront, Garsfontein, Brooklyn and East London. We employ former SAPS and former military personnel and deploy tactical teams for community security.

Our officers are highly visible in their white 4x4's and are very well equipped. Their combat experience means that they don't shy away from confrontation while their training ensures good judgement and decision making.

Our method of security enforcement is proactive rather than reactive. We believe that there is far more merit in preventing crimes than than in reacting to crimes after their occurrence.

DBSS vehicles are constantly mobile and our officers on the ground are constantly watching the traffic for suspicious vehicles or people. Our officers are backed up by operators in the control room that watch the cameras we erect in our protected areas.

About DBSS

DBSS has taken a different approach to securing a community. We take a proactive stance to crime fighting. We are focused on preventing crime rather than responding after the fact.

We take an intelligence-based approach to securing an area, we do extensive research into the inherent risks of an area, the crime trends, natural borders etc. and build a comprehensive security plan. We also utilise undercover security agents where necessary as well as pool information from other areas in which we operate regarding modus operandi of criminals and vehicles and people to look out for.

DBSS currently has contracts for the community security in Glenhazel (GAP), Sandhurst and Houghton. We have been extremely successful on fighting crime in these areas, reducing crime by over 90% and making over 100 arrests since November 2006.

A successful strategy for preventing crime is to fix the problems when they are small. This is a philosophy that we have taken to heart. We believe that small crimes lead to big crimes; and we do not tolerate neither! Our officers even detain an individual for being drunk in public or driving without a license.
